About

A one-person studio, on purpose.

Ennis Studio is my AI advisory and research practice. When you book a workshop, you work with me from the first call to the final deliverable.

Ben Ennis is a software entrepreneur and product builder based in Michigan. With a background spanning enterprise software architecture, compliance technology, and SaaS product development, Ben founded Ennis Studio to build and operate software products that solve real problems, and hold them for the long term.

His approach starts with understanding the domain deeply, modeling the data correctly, and shipping something useful fast. Ennis Studio is the product of that philosophy applied to cybersecurity data and AI.

Ben has been at ServiceNow for more than 12 years and still works there today. For more than six of those years he has worked in technology partnerships, integrations and ecosystem advisory with ServiceNow's strategic industry and technology partners. That work spans the ServiceNow Store marketplace, the Service Graph Connector program, Store app certification and a wide range of integrations built on ServiceNow technology. He started his career at Compuware, whose application performance business became Dynatrace. Ennis Studio does not market or sell ServiceNow-specific services.

Alongside that, he builds and operates CertIndex, a Certificate Transparency data platform with an API and an MCP server, and two research sites that run on scheduled AI agent loops. Workshops pass those production lessons on to teams who would rather not learn them the hard way.

The lesson from partner work

The technology is rarely the hard part. The projects that succeed tie every integration to a business outcome someone senior already owns.

How I work

  1. 01

    Start with the initiative

Every recommendation maps back to an initiative your executive team already owns. Technology is chosen last, and only if it moves a number that matters.

  2. 02

    Fixed fee, written outcome

You know the price and the deliverable before you pay. No hourly meter, no scope drift.

  3. 03

Safety is part of the work

Every recommendation covers what data goes where, who can see it, and how it fails.

  4. 04

Use what you already pay for

Most teams own more AI capability than they use. New tools come last.

  5. 05

    No affiliate or vendor commissions

I take no affiliate fees, referral fees or vendor commissions, so the advice has no thumb on the scale.
